The Mouse and the Elephant ..........
~
I tell you, if you don't obey
I'll run right up your snout!
Well, I'll do whatever you say
But, man alive - KEEP OUT!
I tell you, if you don't obey
I'll run right up your snout!
Well, I'll do whatever you say
But, man alive - KEEP OUT!

Red Red Rose ....

O, my love is like a red, red rose,
That is newly sprung in June.
O, my love is like the melody,
That is sweetly played in tune.
As fair are you, my lovely lass,
So deep in love am I,
And I will love you still, my Dear,
Till all the seas go dry.
Till all the seas go dry, my Dear,
And the rocks melt with the sun!
O I will love you still, my Dear,
While the sands of life shall run.
And fare you well, my only Love,
And fare you well a while!
And I will come again, my Love,
Although it were ten thousand mile!
Blue Flag Iris .....

What is it about irises
in the garden
whether blue flag or yellow,
deep purple, white with red
why do they catch the attention, the imagination
more than lesser blooms?
A certain allure
that Georgia O’Keeffe didn’t taint
a beauty that draws you in
to ponder and marvel on
a delicacy that is real
but a perennial that wears well
the seasons in England too
bitter cold and short summers
a herald for the Spring
whether in bog or flower bed
Chrysanthemum .....

The rose is called the queen of flowers,
Surrounded by her sisters fair,
A lovely throng of beauties rare,
She holds her court 'mid summer bowers,
'Neath smiling skies of sunny blue,
Gayly they bloom the summer through
Brightening all the golden hours.
But when the autumn days have come
Then blooms our sweet Chrysanthemum.
She holds her court 'mid summer bowers,

But when the autumn days have come
Then blooms our sweet Chrysanthe

"Lets give the farmer a treat for breakfast"
"How about bacon and eggs?"
The pig thought about that for a while and said....
"L
"You will provide the eggs and I'm to give the bacon!"
"As I see it, you will be involved, but I will need to be committed!

Butterflies go fluttering by ..............

On coloured wings that catch the eye.
On wings of orange, and silvery blue,
On wings of golden yellow, too.
Butterflies float in the air,
Making their homes most anywhere:
The rain forest, field, and prairie land,
On mountaintops, and desert sand.
If winter brings the cold and snow,
To warmer climates, off they go!
Returning home the following spring,
Beautiful butterflies on the wing!

The one that Pied Piper forgot! ...............

Brown rats, black rats, grey rats, tawny rats,
Grave old plodders, happy young friskers,
Fathers, mothers, uncles and cousins,
Cocking tails and pricking whiskers,
Families by tens and dozens,
Brothers, sisters, husbands and wives,
Followed the Piper for their lives.

I'm late! I'm late! ..............

For a very important date!
No time to say "Hello", goodbye!
I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!
I run and then I hop hop hop
I wish that I could fly
There's danger if I dare to stop
and here's the reason why
You see I'm overdue
I'm in a rabbit stew
Can't even say "Good-bye", hello
I'm late, I'm late, I'm late
No, no, no, no, no, no, no!
I'm overdue!
I'm really in a stew!
No time to say "Goodbye", hello!
I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!
